Section 17
The arbitral tribunal shall be composed of an uneven number of arbitrators. If the parties have agreed on an even number, the arbitrators shall jointly appoint an additional arbitrator who shall act as the chairman of the arbitral tribunal. The procedure of appointing the chairman shall be in accordance with Section 18 paragraph one (2). If the parties fail to reach an agreement on the number of arbitrators, a sole arbitrator shall be appointed.
